i only know the old paints so ill try to explain how to get something similar
also, if you dont understand something just use translate.google.com, that will help

anyway, ill be leaving the rusted metal out because that is pretty easy to do, but if you dont you should say so and i or someone els will try to explain

for the brown color i think its a light brown like kemri brown, highlighted with commando kaki and then edge highlighted with bleach bone or something like vallejo ivory or something.

it also seems he might have used a sepia wash somewhere...

as for the freehanding, you will have to practice taht

----For Beige sections:-----

Base coat with a
Khemri Brown

Then a highlight coat of
Commando Khaki
(Avoid deep parts, like the circles)

Then Edge Highlight
Bleached Bone

Wash with
Gryphonne Sepia

----For Metals:-----

Basecoat with
Boltgun Metal

Wash with
Badab Black

Highlight with
Boldgun Metal

(Optional)
Edge Highlight with
Mithril Silver

This is for the picture posted.
This is mostly what Dijnsk said, I just worded it differently ,so that Google Translate might handle it easier.

This should get you fairly close results. Depending on painting skill.

Good luck / Bonne Chance

Rockin' job.

Keep in mind, I only reworded what DijnsK said, so before you think I'm a guru (which I am, but I try to keep it humble), talk to him as well

That model will look excellent when you put your metallics on it.

Looking very good; although the gun looks a bit dull with just the grey everywhere (also what appears to be mould lines on it as well).

Maybe a wash could fix it, and the tube looks a bit dull too, I'd add some highlights to that (plenty of tutes for both of these).

Also, you made the joins on the legs metallic but not on the arms.

The original destroyer lord you linked is the most beautiful necron I have ever seen, hands down. If necrons were actually real I imagine that's what they'd look like.

If you do end up adding glyphs to it I'd probably leave the base as is, as you wouldn't want the focus to be taken away from the model.

Use more brightness on the camera too; the last one is the only one where I can see the detail starting to come out.
