This is what I am thinking about running. It is kind of a throwback to 5th Ed, really. Lots of Chimeras, lots of firepower. However, my thoughts are that aside from 'Crons, it is going to take a lot of dedicated firepower to strip enough hull points from my tanks to kill them, meaning they will require anti-tank firepower - which will usually outright kill them anyways. However, I have lots of nasty plasma, lots of melta, and all the other firepower I used to deadly effect in 5th Ed. S10 Blasts that now hit at full strength under the blast means I can open up the few tanks I expect to see, while the Vendettas gang up on any flyers that trickle in due to the Officer keep their guys off the table a bit longer.

Thoughts?

Going to toss the Meltabombs and stop it to 1995, so I can tun it at a FoB qualifier (maybe). What does Dakka think about the list? How will it hold up to 6th?

Looks fine to me. I agree that alot of people got spooked out of running vehicles because they felt 6th Ed 'nerfed' them, but I will point out that no more lucky single glancing hits get a wreck. People will still do the progression of concentrating fire till the vehicle is dead and a mass of vehicles may still be as viable as it use to be.

Personally I would group up the Medusas and get a Hydra or two to do your AA than your Vendettas due to the Skyfire rule. But I think you made a reasonable choice with the OotF to counter their flyers. Though to pay for it you would have to drop a Melta squad.

Necrons will be rough, but youwill have alot of firepower to throw out there against them. A hard fight is not always a bad fight.

I would be interested in hearing how this list does... drop me a PM if you feel like it.
