Hey guys havent really played since 4th ed but im going to my local shop on the weekend to pick up 6th ed and try get a game in.

Since its been a while i figured id ask you guys for some advice, im not expecting to win much of the time i just dont wanna get steam rolled all the time

So heres my 2k list with 60pts left over to spend

Half your army has to be deployed, you cant charge from reserves.

I miss stealer armies but this could be slightly gimped seeing as you have to actually have half of them on the table and even the ones that aren't wont be able to charge from outflanking.

I personally though, very much like the deathleaper. But got to ask if your intending to be competitive or have fun, as the two kinds of lists I've seen are seriously different. Competitively I would advise you remove most of your units, take gaunts and spam flying MC's and fliers as much as possible.

Questions:

Is that Swarmlord trying to join that brood of Hive guard? If that is so, that's illegal. Replace with "Tyrant Guard".

This is obviously a "Genestealer Cult". Genestealers should be given Toxin Sacs. Equip them and watch you opponite run.

Why do the Warriors have a Spore but the Zoanthrope don't?

Just use flying monsterous creatures that have 4 Biomancy psychic powers... if you arent totally familar with it, look at the Biomancy Psychic power if you roll a 1.

Basically its not hard to have a str 8-9 toughness 8-9, 6 wound flying monsterous creature that more than 1/2 of the armies in the game cannot deal with affectively at all...

Tervigons that spit out termagants really help with swarm armies and they are nice to sit on objectives if you make them troops. They also work well since you can use them to give feel no pain to a closeby genestealers squad which can be huge.

persoanlly i have given up on warriors they are just easy targets to kill as people know they can ID them with heavy weapons.

The DOOM coming down in a spore can also make a huge difference in a game as opponents cannot ignore him for other targets at all or its game over.
