Wondering what peoples experiances are with "random behavior decks", like the one in the Gears of war board game, or more specificaly, how well something like that would translate to a tabletop game. My group tends to run multiple campaigns of different systems at once, and a friends looking into doing something along the lines of starship troopers. I was thinking of suggesting something like this to him, but being unaware of where to get something like this from to begin with, how it would work or even how well it would work... thought id ask around first. Thanks all

Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

I've never played the Gears of War boardgame, but the "analog AI", so to speak, sounds really fascinating. I guess you could try and find some info about how the GoW system works.

Is what im trying to do, while finding out if any other systems use it. From what i know/heard, each card in the "AI deck" has a number of actions attributed to a number of unit type, and each player has to play anAI card before his own stuff or something i believe. The cards seem to be along the lines of "move x unit towards closest enemy" etc.

I was actually planning to do this as an expansion/offshoot game for my own miniatures game.

It would be a co-op scenario that players could have fun allying together against a card controlled enemy.
