Is there something I'm missing, or are Heavy-Support units' dedicated transports scoring units in Big Guns Never Tire? Ditto for Fast-Attack units' dedicated transports in the Scouring?

Do you think this will have much impact on list construction?

Looks like they are... and probably not too much.

Hmm, I agree, as a dedicated transport counts as the same type of unit it was chosen for from the FOC.

They are indeed scoring in those missionsettings, and the impact is bound to be minimal concidering how much easier vehicles die in 6th.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

I guess my point is one can have six extra scoring units in those missions with transports and units. I was wondering if that would make those units more interesting relative to vehicles. It might also make one lean towards those slots rather than Elites.

Maybe, but keep in mind that in Big Guns Never Tire, that Heavy Dedicated Transports also give up Victory Points. So bringing cheap and weak Heavy/Fast Dedicated Transports is probably not worth it.

The same can be said with fast units/transports (see Assault Marines In Rhinos) for The Scouring mission, where Fast units (and vehicles) count as scoring. Can it be done? Yes. Is it good? Even in the 1 mission it's built for, not really. 6 easy Victory points for the opponent, really.

At least they were smart enough to include that fact that immobilized units aren't scoring (no mid/late game drop pods snagging up objectives)
