I'm busily working on my current project: a Khorne flavored CSM army.
So how do you think will this list do under 6th ed?
Kharne the Betrayer (actually a "counts as" model as I've never been fond of the official sculpt)
8 Khorne Berzerkers
8 Khorne Berzerkers, champion w' power weapon +Rhino with comb-melta
8 Khorne Berzerker, champion w' power weapon + Rhino with combi-melta
5 chosen, 3x melta guns +Rhino with combi-melta
Land Raider
Cannon of Khorne (counts as vindicator with daemonic possession)
8 havocs, 2x missle launchers, 2x lascannons
Blood Slaughterer (counts as dreadnaught w' extra close combat arm)
Kharne of course rides in the Land Raider with the Berzerker squad that lacks a champion. This along with the other two rhino mounted squads are the strike arm. The drednaught is mainly there to draw fire from the dangerous stuff in the army. The small chosen squad is a flanker that is designed to pop vehicles, now that infiltrators can bring along a transport. The combi-meltas on the rhinos are there for a little extra anti-vehicle firepower after they have delivered their riders. Finally, the vidicator and the havocs provide a little shooting power for the force.
Thoughts?

um what point value are you going for again? i keep getting 1669 pts. so unless you are missing something that you have written down... anyway
So, if you really are doing a Khorn themed list then theres somthing you need to know... Khorn like to hit thing, Khorn no like to shoot things
so for fluffy sake drop the havoc and drop the vindicator for they are not the Khorny way, also the dreadnought is still gak  so the solution: CHAOS DEFILER mmm has shooty and is a dreadnought with fleet (and many weapon options) take 3 it will be cheaper n more Khorn.
Forget the land Raider its way to point heavy for the game size, just go more Rhino!
so (just a thought) hear is my take on a Khorne list that i exactly 1750

Yeah, my math is probably off. I need to check that. If so, I'll have to find something for another 150 points.

Not strictly true, my friend.
Khorne is about killing people in general. The "Khorne followers are all melee troops" is a fairly recent thing. In fact the first World Eaters list had heavy weapons in the tactical squads, devastators, vehicles, etc. That's the "feel" I'm going for. All my figures in the army are old RT and 2nd edition World Eaters, I have an original Blood Slaughterer robot, an armorcast Cannon of Khorne, etc.

I dunno man. You've read your 6th ed. rulebook, right? If the enemy blows up your rhino, you can't assault in YOUR assault phase, nor can you assault if you get out of the vehicle in your turn.
It's pretty brutal, trying to assault in the new edition.

Fair enough. That's why I included a land Raider packed with meanness. But i do get your point about the Rhinos. It's tempting to strip the combi-weapons off them to save points and just run along behind them instead.

Yea, Khorne (or max berzerkers) seems to be pretty much dead in 6th. (It was a tough road in 5th already!) I mean if you can get your berzerkers into combat though, a power axe can be a decent alternative to a powerfist now! Rhino's seem superfluous for assault troops now. Land Raiders are more reliable but berzerkers arent' all that scary charging out of them. With the buff to 2+ saves and fearless rules, a Chaos Lord leading terminators out of a Land Raider could actually be fun to spearhead your assault force, and have the berzerkers follow up behind.

Alternative? It's S6 vs S9, as you strike last in both cases. Unless you just can't spare the 10 pt difference, it's always better to go with the powerfist, it seems.
Oh, I see, one extra attack as well. Meh.

Oh, I see, one extra attack as well. Meh.
The extra attack could be all the difference if you face alot of MEQ's and such that you don't need the S9 for. S6 on an MEQ is still wounding on a 2+, so for 10 points less the extra attack that hurts just as hard could be all the incentive you need.

I don't know, I couldn't find this exactly in the rule book. However, a viable alternative to Berzerker spam now I think could be regular Marines with Icon of Khorne.
