So I think it will stand up pretty well, I am somewhat concerned about the lack of Close Combat, but not sure I really Need it -

Maybe Drop the regular lords and ccb add a second Overlord and court and pick up a second lightening and sub overlords and light techs into the big warriors units? After adding Orbs I have enough points to upgrade 2 destroyers to Heavy.

im sure you can only have 1 trype of cryptex per court and seen as you have onky have 1 overlord that means just one storm and 1 dest...

Can have duplicate Crypteks within the Court; just not the same additional wargear options. For example, can have 5 Stormteks, but only one can have a Lightning Field. So list proposed is fine

Looks pretty good. I think your milage with the destroyers may vary though, I have 10 from the last codex and I can't justify using them anymore.

Also, your storm crypteks are cheaper because the VS upgrade is free. The first poster is incorrect too in that you can take as many crypteks as the royal court allows, only the wargear is unique.

There is one issue with the proposed layout of this list.
You have one royal court, and you are putting two Destroteks in with the warriors in the ghost arc. You can only have one member of a royal court per squad, so one of them will need to find a new home.
Otherwise, I would consider swapping the Destroyers for Tomb Blades, and use the savings for more immortals.

With the new rules on chariots, CCBs give the Overlord a 2+ save so SW isn't necessary. I love destroyers. They wreck face and will kill pretty much whatever they shoot at.

The wording on +1 Save on chariots is what causes confusion. IIRC it states that you add one to your saving throw, not that the lord has an armour save of a 2+. Therefore my understanding is that AP3 weapons can still negate the save of the Overlord because it merely passes its 3+ save on a 2+.

So in other words, the Lord has a 2+ while embarked - he'd lose it on ejection and marines could take advantage of the 3+. Gives them a reason to destroy the chariot!
