My grass-flock is coming off my bases, one straw at a time, how can I fixate it cheap?

Can I use thinned-down white glue? Or do I need to buy some expensive GW spraycan?

I've heard of people applying a thin spray of matte varnish to keep flock on, but I've never done it. Testors Dullcote is the golden standard.

Any spray flat clearcoat will help keep the grass at home.
But any grass will shed some from time to time.

Thinned down white glue with a touch of alcohol is an old standard for gluing down flock.

Varnish (matte or otherwise) works the part as well - though you have to be careful as it can lead to spider webbing. A little goes a long way, especially if your base includes static grass or similar materials.

If you have static grass as opposed to flock - I like to use a dropper with a 50/40/10 mix of matte medium, water, alcohol. A little drip will get down into the recesses and between the fibers well enough. The alcohol acts to break the surface tension.

I just use the matte spray. Seems to work for me. not a big fan of the grass, I seem to be cleaning it up for days after using it.

A well thought out closing remark.
