hello all, i am currently working a custom codex for at home games. i was just thinking one day if
space marines can look away from the emperor and fight for chaos, why cant sister of battle?

After a little research i ran across an article about Miriael Sabathiel, a fallen sister who worships
Slaanesh and has been converting other sister and even black templar to join slaanesh.

Heres the link to that page:
http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Miriael_Sabathiel

so now im really wanting to get into the creation process... but im not sure what to do cause the
sisters of battle codex is so small (im a SoB player). So i was ganna ask for some help on this,
i have some brainstormed ideas too:

HQ -
Miriael Sabathiel

Elite -
Sisters of the Screaming Cage
(go here to read a little about them: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Ephrael_Stern)

Troop -
Chaos Sisters
Sisters of Slaughter
Sisters of Pestilence
Sisters of Lust

Give some feed back thanks!

Hi there!

Generally, I don't support the excessive use of the Fallen Sister concept, as I feel it goes against the Sororitas' core perk of being one of the most dedicated and incorruptible forces of the Imperium, right after the Grey Knights. Additionally, I happen to like Miriael, and think that her unique status is cheapened if she stops being The One That Fell.

However, as I do support creativity, and don't want to come off like an ass, here's a few points that may or may not be of interest to you:

#1 Miriael never actually converted any other Sisters or Space Marines to her cause. What you are referring to is a bit of fanfiction. There has been no other officially licensed appearance of this character outside the TCG and Abnett's short story "The Invitation".
That doesn't mean you cannot still adopt this idea and just treat it like it has happened - after all, there is no canon in 40k - but I felt you should know what you're dealing with here.

#2 The Sisters of the Screaming Cage were not Chaos-aligned at all, else they would not have helped Ephrael against Ashteroth. The Screaming Cage is the tormented souls of those Sororitas who have remained faithful to their creed, yet could not escape their grisly fate at the hands of the daemon. What you might be referring to are the so-called Daughters of Ashteroth, the Keeper's own private warband of possessed (and disfigured) Sister-corpses.

#3 Your troop choices suggest a Chaos Undivided affiliation, yet Miriael Sabathiel was a chosen Champion of Slaanesh and her warband in the TCG reflects that. Unless you wish to change her character, I would advice keeping it limited to Slaanesh, and also consider adding a number of daemons to bring some variety into the army. You could use the new allies rules and treat these Chaos Sisters as having a relation similar to Chaos Space Marines <-> Daemons. For example, Miriael Sabathiel had a personal fellowship of a bunch of Daemonettes. She also had a personal bodyguard of Emperor's Children Terminators, however, so you might also look at the CSM Codex. This should also give you access to Cultists, for an obvious purpose.

There is no reason that you have to have the "Fallen Sisters" as actually former Sisters - I would keep tend to agree with keeping Miriael as unique and that she has recruited women and clad them in armour to mock her former alligience.

So perhaps go with

HQ
Miriale
"Other Named Characters"
Emperors Children Command Squad/Retinue (* as Lynata describes)
Champion/s of Slaanesh

Elite
Chaos Sisters (mortal followers in debased power armour stripped from slain Sisters)
Daemonettes

Troops
Cultists /Traitor guard

Hv Support
Heavy weapon Teams
Sisters (* as above) with Heavy weapons
Noise Marines

Fast Attack
Daemonettes on Steeds
Sisters (* as above) on bikes

However you could probably do the above with the presetn Chaos Marines codex and Daemon allies

I AM A MARINE PLAYER

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

I don't really like the Chaos Sister concept other than Mirael - I think that she would work for an SC for the CSM book.
