So this is my first army. Any and all advice is welcome
Also, I wanted to make a Blood Angels army before the new book, so I bought 10 assault marines, 20 tac marines, 1 predator, 5 terminators. So I would Prefer to use those. However, if it could be made a lot better by scrapping some that's fine.
Also, some suggestions/tips/advice on how to play my army would be really helpful too.

Needs more troops. While the Tac squads can be combat squaded, 4 5 man units will not last long against an opponent that is actively trying to get objectives. You'd need to either tie them up with something else or attempt to table them.

I'd go with a unit of Sniper Scouts, perhaps with Telion,

Also, this list lacks synergy. How are you going to get He'stan + Terminators into charge range? You need a Land Raider for that, and at 1500 your don't have the points to piddle around. I would suggest dropping the Devastator squad and the Landspeeder in favor of a Land Raider (any variety, though Crusaders are nice).

Also, your taq squads have both a Flamer and a Multi-Melta. Overwatch with a Flamer won't be that bad, but the MM is largely inferior to a ML, mainly because you have to be within 12" to use one effectively, whereas a ML you can be 48" away and it will still be as effective as if you were 6" away.

Okay, I was originally thinking the MM because of Forgemaster that made them twinlinked, but maybe the ML range just far outweighs that?

Cutting the Dev's and Speeder I only have 240 points to deal with then. That's the price of a Land Raider Redeemer, but I can't take anymore troops then. Is there somewhere you would suggest cutting something else to get more money for some more units?

I'm doing this with the 6th edition handbook and 5th edition Space Marine.

I would not take the landspeeder take a stormtalon or drop it to take another tank or something. thats just my opinion

To many unpainted models to count.

If I cut the devastators and the landspeeder along with 5 assault marines and their flamer i can fit in some scouts and a Landraider Crusader. Additionally, this would in theory let me put my assault squad in the Landraider with exact spots?
On the other hand, I could cut the scouts and put a barebones troop of 5 tac and get a free ML, MM, or HB with them.

Either 5 snipers and a sarge or 4 snipers and sarge all with camo
88 or 90
(or 4 and a sarge tac W/ a free ML/MM/HB @90 points)
^having these extra troops makes me think I can afford getting a little closer with the tac squad and make use of the MM

I personally don't know why you are spending 190pts on vulcan if you are not going to truelly use his abilities... He twin linkes all flame and melta, and master crafts thunder hammers... So why would you take a crusader over a redeemer, why ML? don't get me wrong, I think that once they offically FAQ that ML can take flack missles that they will be the most universally usefull weapon in 6th ed, but I am personally a fan of just putting them in dev squads... everyone who you plan on getting close I would max out flamer melta and thunderhammers.

I didn't even think of the Redeemer with Forgefather, I'm still a complete newbie.

I edited my list above to show the according changes. Thank You Jose for pointing those out.

Ok, before someone beats me to it, as I was corrected by my roommate. vulcan does not twin link the flamestorm cannons on the redeemer... I just think its fluffy lol.

Yeah, that's the weird part; "hey all flame stuff is twin-linked, except for this flame thing." The Redeemer is great for mowing down... everything, but as a transport, not really worth it. You can fit more stuff into a Crusader.

Oh, and Tal if you haven't already read the FAQ for 6th edition SMs on the GW site.

No one bothered to mention this so I will - you can only get the ML or any of the special weapons on a Tactical squad of 10 models. So for that next troop unit, you're better off taking a scout squad with a ML and camo cloaks.

I would drop Vulkan, 190 can be much better spent...for example an epistolary (2 of the new powers!)

In this list, I'd suggest dropping Vulkan. You don't have enough Meltas/Flamers for it.

An Assault Squad with only 5men is a Victory Point for your opponent. With the flamer, on the charge it'll be a total of 14 attacks. And that's if it makes it with all 5 of them.

While a lot of people are drinking the no vehicle cool aid, in 6th edition, 5/6 of the games involve Objectives. You need something to get your Space Marines around the board. 35pt Rhinos are essential for this.

Epistolarys are now covered in gold with this edition, especially with the Telepathy tree. If you are playing against anything with Monstrous Creatures, the Primaris Power - Psychic Shriek - is covered in diamonds. Even a Daemon Prince, which is LD10, can get reamed by this. Roll decently well, and you can take out Monstrous Creatures in one shot. One doesn't even need to imagine the worth of stripping Fearless off Death Company (and then shooting the gak out of them) or using Hallucination on a Horde. Or turning that squad that's about to be charged / shot invisible. Heck, you can make your tanks invisible, giving them a +3 cover save (4+ if they are out in the open) against enemy shooting.

I personally only take Stormbolters on my SGT if I'm going to give him a specialist weapon, like a Power Fist. The Bolt Pistol will give you extra attacks in combat, which is extremely useful when you need to issue a challenge or simply extra attacks against anything.

Unfortunately, Assault Cannon Land Speeders suffer the worst of the Land Speeder world. Land Speeders are extremely fragile platforms; and having your land speeders be forced to move within 24" of the enemy exposes it to being brought down by even bolter fire, especially since they only have two Hull Points. It's generally best, if you are going to take them, to have them with Typhoon Launchers to allow them to keep their distance while handling anything from Nobs to ID'ing Marine Characters, or even putting easy wounds on larger things, or easy damage on tanks. They don't even have the virtue of being rather cheap - 90 pts (the same you pay for 2 Missile Launcher shots) for a fragile platform that needs to get close. For 20pts less, you can make it a Multi Melta / Heavy Flamer speeder and have the satisfaction of having something that gets TL from Vulkan (if you keep him) and having something that's cheap enough to be almost worth suiciding. Take 3, in seperate squads, and enjoy lighting some people on fire!

I would suggest against switching to the Predator. You have 3 Lascannon Shots (2 if you move), on a tank platform (which can be taken down by 1 missile / lascannon). If you keep the Devastators, you save 15 pts and won't suffer from being shaken, or from losing all of your long ranged heavy weapons to one lucky shot.

Multi Meltas on Tactical Squads - some people love them, some people not so much. I'm currently using Plasma Cannons on my Tactical Squads - 5pts more, to be sure, but can take out 2 - 3 spread infantry in one shot, or cook a vehicle (or even two, if they are parked side by side!) Where as a multi melta can only ever take out one man, or one tank (almost guaranteed at 12"). If you are determined to keeping the Vulkan style list, than the Multi Meltas are fine. If you drop him, however, I suggest switching them to Plasma Cannons or Missile Launchers.

I don't think you get to complain when you play Purifiers, Blood Angels, and Chaos Space Marines.
