Got my first 6th edition tournament coming up... here's the 1500 pt list I'm planning on bringing.

HQ - Librarian in terminator armor w/ stormshield - 145 pts
Elite - 5 man terminator squad (4x TH/SS, 1x LC) - 220 pts
Elite - 5 man Sanguinary Guard squad (1x PF, 1x Inferno Pistol, Chapter Banner) - 250 pts

Troops - 10 man ASM squad (2x melta, fist) - 235 pts
Troops - 10 man ASM squad (2x melta, fist) - 235 pts
Troops - 10 man ASM squad (2x flamer, psword) - 235 pts

Heavy - Stormraven Gunship (TL MM, TL AC) - 200 pts

Gives me 35 jump infantry on the field, with the terminators riding the stormraven to deliver firepower where its needed the most. Thinking about dropping a squad of assault marines for a second stormraven... not sure if its worth it though. I do need the bodies on the field.

My experience in 6th is so limited, that I am reluctant to suggest anything for fear it may not be helpful. I am anxious to hear how the army does, particularly considering the opposition you face.

I'm considering dropping the librarian for a terminator captain with TH/SS, because he will be able to deal with challenges much better... or I could just go back to razorspam....

Hey keep the Lib the powers you get are just brutal let's say you take Telepathy as a power if you roll a 3 you get pupateer witch makes control an enemy unit within 24 inch of your lib and you can shoot with that unit. You know take control of a Russ or a manticore is pretty sweet. but if you don't roll a 3 and the power you got is sucky then you still get the Primaris which makes a unit take a 3 D6 moral check and you count as many wounds as the difference. Lets say you cast the spell on a marine tac squad and he rolled 12 with 3d6 he then has to take off 3 marines with no regular or cover save. the player is only allowed to have his invul save. You can use this on his terminators he won't like it :p. (it also works on fearless targets)
As per your list maybe lose the stormraven and get a Land raider redeemer. It will be on the board from turn1 and you know what you're getting and maybe try to get a pod furioso to bite into enemy artillery (I'm thinking about those IG Hydras and Manticore and many other things).
and do you have the priests for the Feel no pain? for all your squads? it's a 5+ but its still a 5+ after your 3+ save. Like this you make sure you hit people in the face hard plus you'll have furious charge which now gives you +1S.
you can't rely on your Red thirst unless you have Astorath.

The reason I have the stormraven and not a land raider for the terminators is mostly because I need something to shoot down enemy air units. The army has no long range anti-air except the raven....

I could drop the sanguinary guard for a squad of honor guard, and give them all plasma guns. This would give me a priest, I'd just have to keep the other squads close.

Over by 20 points it looks like. Drop the Termies and take a second Raven to even up the points. Then you can Reserve more and play it more DoA style since the Ravens don't count against the reserve tally.

having two squad stuck together defeats the purpose of being highly mobile. You'll have more chance to be kited around the table.
on a side note for a 250 points you can get an Ig allie.
You get a Psyker primaris (level 2 psyker please for 70 pts)

A squad of veteran (CT 4) with three meltas or 2 meltas and a plasma (for 100 pts/105 pts)

and finally you get your anti air Hydra 4 S7 TL auto-cannon shots. Not to be messed with^^ (for 75 points please)
so you just exchanged 5 bodies for 10 troupes, 1 level 2 psyker and a perfect Anti air.

How do you feel about that? :p

I don't know. Going to a 6th edition tourney without the Terminators feels to me like going out to dinner and forgetting to wear your shirt. It would be a tough call to make.

Do the hydras come in squadrons?

Watch out for dreds, I played a 2 raven 2 dred list against a DOA army and the dreds are evil in the assault with MB and PF at int phase 1. Get some long range anti armor.
You can take an aegis of defence with the QL skyfier/ intercepter weapon for 100pts.
