Ok so I'm not sure if i should take a LR or an LRC, in my army so far i have 3 vindicators so i got anti armor out the ass, ill be loading the LR with assault terms and a chaplain.

what do you all think?

The LRC can fit in one more terminator.

If you want it for the transport, then you can't beat the LRC, especially if you're happy with your anti-tank atm. Keep in mind that the vindicator isn't that long of range however, and the twin lascannons can take pot-shots at flyers.

The LRC is good for killing infantry on the way to dropping off your termies and short ranged firepower vs. light flyers, but heavier flyers won't necessarily care. Honestly I'd go with the more cost effective option (Don't have SM codex so I don't know prices).

I would go for the LRC. I am not sure what your running, but my terminators dont have frag gernades. So the LRC takes care of that for me. But yes, the LRC has more of a capacity then the LR.

Definitely LRC. With the new HP system, you are almost guarantee to deliver your payload to ONE single location. Thus, you want to make it worth it. For 10 pts more, you can bring 4 extra slots. That's 2 extra terminators. You can bring a grenade caddy (if you are grey knight). You can bring a librarian that buff the entire squad. You can bring a challenge monster like Calgar or Lysander. And all of this is on top of your chaplain + normal terminators.

One thing that I notice is that most people would prefer to fit characters in power armour into a land raider to maximize the number of TH/SS they can bring. But to each his own.

Land raider crusader is the best assault taxi out there, especially if you have Templars or Dark Angels, as they get the multi-melta on top for free.

LRC is great when you want your terminators to get in there and punch things; it can hold a pretty prodigious amount of them as well.

Regular LR is more like a mobile-firebase; stick it on a objective with some troops nearby and light up everything from 48" away with those TLLCs, probably taking hull points every turn.

Definitely drop Telion on a 5-man squad. Vindi with dozer is 120 points. LRC should always take multimelta upgrade (so you can kill their LRC). I would max out the capacity of the LRC with 2 more TH/SS Termies.

If you're running TH/SS Terminators, don't grab a LRC, grab the Godhammer Land Raider (unless you need the space, obviously). You don't need Frag Assault Launchers on a unit that always strike at I1 and two twin-linked Lascannons and a Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter are better than a Twin-Linked Assault Cannon and a lot of bolters, at least IMO.

The crusader would be better because you could attack a nearby squad and your terminators assault the other so your terminators can survive longer.

Why would i drop telion? I can use his 5 bs skill on a sniper rifle or a ml and pick who i can wound, so i can take out srgt or wound their leaders. Also vinds only cost 105 to field and 10 for a blade

Since this lr is going to be gettin up close and personal i thought it might be better to give it close range weapons to help fight off melee rather then the laz cannons. But dont get me wrong more ranged firepower is never a bad thing

Because telion cost 50 points and only wounds on 4 (he is also bs 6 and not 5). Are you using the right codex? When you use his Voice of Experience on the ML, you do not get precision shot.

I am looking at my codex space marine right here and it is 115, 5 for the blade.

Personally I would never take a Godhammer but it's your call.

Godhammer Land Raider is better for Vanilla Marines. They need all the long ranged fire power they can get, and the unit acts as counter-assault rather than shoving the LR down the opponent's throat, which is an entirely different list.

With the relative increase of effectiveness for AP2 and being able to snap-shot all guns, the basic pattern of LR is better than before. The old advantage of the Crusader was being able to take a MM and move 6" while firing all guns. Removal of defensive weapons rules makes this less viable.

Whether this is enough to override the loss of frag launchers and make the basic LR worthwhile, we have yet to see.
