Getting 2+ cover saves and then just being ordered back up to shoot as normal next turn is a bit ridiculous for a 50 point wall, particularly when it's around an objective. How do you deal with this, especially for someone with little long-range anti-cover?

I don't believe you are allowed to place objective within a certain distance of any fortifications, as they belong to an army.

Hit them with barrages. Run up and template them. Punch them in the nose and take their lunch money. An allied Hellhound or Collosus is the perfect solution to dug in light infantry.

Flamers. Flamers of any kind kill blobs dead. Other than that try whatever barrage you can get, or avoid the cover by deepstrike/outflank/movement.

If you can, just kill the CCS. They are not too hard to kill and are sometimes left vulnerable, depending on the terrain.
