I'm having a really hard time against my friends chaos marines. He runs an oblitz spam, dual lash princes list. I just can't seem to find enough ap2 as a GK player. Even though I don't lose every battle, I don't win as much as I should. Here is his list:
2 Demon Princes, lashes, the works
8 Obliterators
20 Plague marines
Thanks in advance for all the help

Don't forget that activating your Force Weapons will deny his Plague Marines their Feel No Pain, and their armor saves. Massed S5 storm bolter fire and psycannon fire should bring the Oblits to heel, and the princes will have issues lashing you around if support your GKs with dreadnoughts for Reinforced Aegis.
This all assumes you're playing an army heavy on Strikes or Purifiers. If you're playing Draigowing remember that you Deny the Witch on a 5+ and use LOS to keep your paladins alive as long as possible. And force weapon him whenever you are in melee. For a Coteaz henchman build, meltagun acolytes will put paid to his Oblits, and everything crumples under weight of S6 and S7 shooting,

ID is the only way to negate FNP in this edition. Just being AP2/1 or flat-out ignoring armour saves will allow it, and since Plague Marines are now T5 for all intents and purposes, it means that the reliance on S8 to break through it like last edition is now a reliance on S10. FNP is done after an unsaved wound has been taken too, so it falls to Order of Operations, in which case the 'Force' rule specifies that if an unsaved wound is suffered from a force weapon, then the bearer may 'immediately' choose to activate it and inflict instant death, whereas FNP is not done immediately, and I would therefore say that it would inflict instant death before the FNP roll is ever made.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

Technically this will make sense, no FNP here.

Falchions.
Negates the plague marines armour save. Better I. Even with a 5+ FNP, he should lose models each round.
I cannot figure if activating the force weapons is better that using hammerhand though.

Hammerhand, all the way.
Your best weapon against Lash demon princes is small arms fire from vehicles. Unupgraded heavy bolters, storm bolters from rhinos, whatever. Demon Princes hate making a space marine armor save, and you will kill them fast if you make them take 8 or so.
