Any old timers remember this? Looks like they are trying to bring it back for a limited print run. It was a great timekiller game. Im on board, how about you?

I am fortunate enough to still have the original books, as well as Jet Eagles more off the same but using , well jets.

Great game , easy to pick up and play, shame the run is limited but it must be quite expensive to get out there.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Yep. I think I may still have a copy somewhere.

There was a similar series of fantasy skirmishing -- swordfighting and spells -- and a short lived Battletech system using the same concept.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

You are right the Battletech ones were nothing like as polished as AofA. I remember there were six books - Warhammer, Locust, Thunderbolt, Griifin, Battlemaster and Shadowhawk? Great for five minutes duels while on a bus or train - especially for the strange looks you would get calling out these random numbers.

The fantasy version had a red and green magicians who dueled on magic carpets methinks.

Agghhh....why does my brain remember this and not anything the wife tells me to pick up from the shops

I had a lot of those also, lost over the years. I was excited and bought into the kickstarter. almost did not make it. The stuff on Ebay is going for pretty good prices, at least the Ace of Aces stuff. I have not looked forthe BattleTech stuff. I do have GWs gamebooks. Those are good for timekilling.
