I want to make sure I'm playing this right. Can Lychgaurd use dispersion shields to ricochet shots when they charge onto the unit they are attempting to assault?

Yes, any time they are shot at they can use it.

I believe so but only if those shots cause them to take the 4+ Invulnerable saves and not the 3+ Armour saves.

I assume this would also be the case for Wall of Death hits from Template weapons as you're not repositioning a Template but redirecting the hits.
