I need some advise on this list as I am getting ready to purchase the bulk of the models for it (or not).

HQ:
Marshal w/ Admantium Mantle, Holy Orb, LC/SS

My theoretical stratagey is to sit back and shoot, bubble wrap a unit with the terminators, and shoot down any flyers with the TL Quad gun. Thoughts?? Close combat seems to be out in 6e but I am a little worried about being out gunned by armies like necrons and tau.

What do you plan to do with the Emperor's Champion? That's my problem these days. He doesn't seem to have a job since shooting is the focus of 6th edition.

You list is a good deal like mine. I thought about the Aegis Defense Line. It would be a good idea.

I was going to stick the Emperors Champion in the unit that is manning the defense line. Which will probably be in the back of my deployment zone.....he really serves little purpose to the army except increasing their deny the witch rolls by one. I was even thinking of taking the Terminators as a regular unit, and not the command squad, which would allow me to stick the marshal on the quad gun and use his BS.

The Defense Line is awesome! Being TL and S7 it can effectivly shoot down a flyer by chipping off Hull Points in a turn.

If your not going to use the army as assaulting, I would recommend taking Abhor the witch, Destroy the witch VOW. Then you get a 5+ save against psychic attacks. Plus when scouts take there move, right after the deployment phase, you can move all your templars D6. This would help greatly get in to a good firing position.

Just a thought, you would save a few points.

Two really good points here, I think:

If you're going really shooty, use the "Abhor the Witch..." vow instead of the "Accept Any Challenge..." vow, since you won't be using Rage much anyway.

Wow, actually thats areally good idea for a shooty BT list. He is as good as useless if he only can shoot 12" with a bolt pistol. Might as well mount him up on that quad gun and have some fun! Personally I just did purchase a ageis defense line. Take out 2 rhinos, and plop that down. I want to if its worth the 100 points.

Find 10 points and drop the ven dread and put in a kitted out predator annhilator with POTM and all the lascannons you can. It has way more durability than your dread, and while it does not have tankhunters, you get 1 more shot than the dread at str 9 ap2.

I understand the Marshall for leadership 10. Chaplains though make a unit fearless and you get rerolls when you charge, making your counterattack unit very killy. I've relied too many times on 1 unit getting the job done, you need that kind of augmentation.

What are you going to do against horde armies? Almost all of your heavy weapons are anti-tank, and those speeders will die fast to anything with semi-decent shooting.

Mech is not dead in this edition, nor is assault. You'll need more mobility to seize objectives.

I think it is totally worth the 100pts. it can take out the majority of flyers.

Okay here is another really shooty list, I did some number crunching and this list actually has a really good chance to take out high AV vehicles with tank hunter (more so than CML in fact), Check it out:

Any idea where to put the 14 points???

Looks pretty good to me, as for the 14 points... Neophyte with a shotgun? just for a giggle... you can put him in the squad with 6 initiates.

Or what about upgrading the Command Squad Sergeants Storm Bolter to a combi Plasma or melta?
