Hey there!

My name is Rebecca, or Artz. I bought the Island of Blood starter set, plus an additional Dark Knight Cold One set.. aaaand another one I forget as I've not set those up yet, in March. Got a few painted, but I've mainly enjoyed having a few starter games.

Aside from the game, I've began to write my own story based vaguely on 5 of my figures, though I've took it out of the warhammer world as I don't know enough of the backstories and things.

A very good friend, and member here, suggested I visit these forums.. so hey!

What kind of things do we do here?

Hello there Artz. Its nice to see you made the trek here

The Dakkadakka forums is for enthusiasts of the Wargaming hobby to get together and discuss / argue / grumble about various ideas of how it all works. You can learn about Background from the dedicated Warhammer forums, talk strategy for your games, discover new games (I only became interested in Kings of War and Warpath because of Dakkadakka), and ramble. Definitely ramble.

Might I also suggest popping into the Painting and Modelling Blogs? They have some great ones in there.

Many and varied forces in progress according to waxing & waning whims.

I may never finish an army in my life.

Hi, welcome.

This site is for exploring the backstory or Fantasy and Warhammer 40k (along with some other games), discussing rules, and sharing modeling and painting ideas. The amount of content here is staggering.

Cold Ones are really cool, I like the sleek look of them compared to the old ones. Yuck

Shall do.. its definitely a lot to browse through thats for sure. Also, yeah... painting and modelling blogs should be pretty interesting for me. I've got a few paints now, its just getting down to it and painting them all. As I bought so many all at once its gunna be a big job haha. I tend to make my models very dark.. I should look into how to make colours brighter. Also, when I tried to turn a horse white, it was blotchy and horrible, so I ended up swapping back to dark. Perhaps a lighter undercoat is needed...

Really is! Most of the non-warhammer-related forums I've been on (been a micronationalist for a number of years) have had tiny forums in comparison.

Also, yeah... the cold ones did look cool. I tend to like the idea of anything 'deadly-animal' related.. (speaking of which the new wolves that just came out make me want to convert to 40k xD), however thats why I kept to the fantasy over 40k, as its more.. varied.
