So I was wondering if you guys, like me, think of music that goes well with the 40k armies? I know these threads pop up from time to time, but I'm always disappointed with the results because it always descends into argumentation about metal bands, so coming from a person who listens to a lot of film soundtracks I have decided to share a few tracks that I think fit an army perfectly, hope you like them and leave your own too.

Space Wolves: Anvil Of Crom, Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian 1982) This track makes you want to go kill a cow with an Umbrella it's SO manly and epic very Space Wolves!

Tau: Castor, Daft Punk (Tron Legacy) A very sci-fi track that fits the Tau nicely with the electronic beats and the change in pitch.

Black Templars: Crusaders, Harry Gregson Williams (Kingdom Of Heaven) One of my favourite tracks from my favourite soundtrack to my favourite film, this medieval track really suits the Black Templars and there 'Holiness'.

Tyranids: Futile Escape, James Horner (Aliens) An obvious choice (might want to skip to the third minute mark) for the tyranids who were, like many others, inspired by this sci fi masterpiece of a film with it's raw alien soundtrack.

Imperial Guard: Klendathu Drop, Basil Poledouris (Starship Troopers) Another obvious choice from a great film that has a very Imperial guard style army in it, a good heroic track.

Dark Eldar: Kaneda's Theme, Geinoh Yamashirogumi (Akira) This track captures the feel of Akira's hyper velocity and ultra violent opening scene and it fits with a Dark Eldar raid very well.

Eldar Lacrimosa, Zbigniew Preisner (The Tree Of Life) I think that no other track fits the Eldar more perfectly than this enjoy.

Necrons Terminator Theme, Brad Fiedel (The Terminator) This track is nice and metallic and quite devoid of hopemuch like the Necrons, it's a little more electronic than the sequels track which is why I chose this.

That's all I can think of, i hope you enjoy these tracks and add your own and comment and tell me what you think

Right behind you...

I for one always thought Warhammer music to be epic and gothic, like gregorian church music. If you are familiar to video games, Dawn of War II has some very excellent and fitting music.

There is only the Emperor, and he is our shield and protector.
