Obviously the Lord Commissar finecast mini with an armswap. The cane is one of the banner-arms from the command squad box with a GS ball on top.

I wanted to have a cheap HQ option for my grey knights and wanted to do something with pink armor. So I ended up with a Lord Commissar painted up as a pimp, throwing hallucinogenic psychotroke grenades all over the place. Sweet.

I realize that the pictures may not be the most flattering, but what do you guys think?







Tried to make it the cloak look like stoatskin at the bottom and the top. The orb on the cane was done by increasingly white random dots with a gloss coat.

I don't know what to say. Awesome paint job. Epic pink armor.

I'm sorry but to me it looks like a Pink Commissar, There hasn't been much effort to try and convert it besides a small arm swap. I can also spot a mould line on the left arm.

The model itself has been painted very nicely though.

Nice paint job. But if he is pimp n you should GS him a pimp hat... Also he willl need some of the DE slave girls and various other female models for his ret.For a transport for him i would track down a Caddy model for him.Paint it Pink or Yellow maybe a Bright Green.Then he would be Big pimp n...
At one time i was going to make some Ork Boyz In wife beaters and put them in 4x4 truks as their BAttle wagons.but i alraedy have to many unfinished projects.

Yes, I know it is pretty much the commissar straight out of the box, and that is what I said in the foreword, but it really is such a nice sculpt that I didn't feel any need to mess with it at all. "There hasn't been much effort to try and convert it" indeed, no effort was made.

About the mould line, I tried to get rid of it but there isn't much you can do with all the creases that you don't want to ruin. Happily, it is practically invisible in person.

@col. krazy kenny: I'm not that good with GS and he is supposed to just hide in a squad of terminators for the grenades so I was never going to do a big elaborate thing with him.

I agree with everyone else: the paintjob is great, the color pallete dont bother me (and work very well).

For ordo xenos i always think in biologists or medics, so, he is lacking some medic tools, or maybe a "field exploration kit". If he gona use psychotropic grenades, why not make it clear in the model. Give your opponent some hints on it (like adding some flasks of "misterious substances" to his belt.)

Lastly, this guy is a regular human, trained in the use of bolt pistol. He is not a space marine, and will displace his wrist if he decide to shoot that way.

If you want him to look like a Pimp, drugs and a hat would look great too.

Sry for the extensive sugestions, the paint job is very good, but this guys had real chances to be awesome...

Not a fan of this one, mate.

Firstly, he looks like a regular commissar holding his gun like a gangsta. The colours are extremely off-beat even for an Inquisitor and that mould line is a killer.

You even gave him a pimp cane...

I'm not sure what you were going for, but if your intention was to make a 40k pimp then congratz.

That is pimpin'. Colours look great and love the gangsta grip on his pistol. You should give him see-through platforms with fish in them.

The blue is nice. But there's too many contrasting colors for me.

He is going to have to keep his pimp hand strong haha

Those are definitely some exciting colours! I'm a fan. However, the scheme starts to fall apart a bit with the cap and the boots. The cap looks too close to the traditional red (which is clashing with the pinks and purples), while the boots... I don't know if you intended them to be something close to gold, but again, the colour clashes a bit. Maybe do them a darker purple? Or just black?

Definitely a fan of this mini though, the orb on the end of the cane is making me think of Mysterio (of Spiderman fame) which makes sense given all the hallucinogens you mentioned in the description.

I really like it! I can see why some "traditionalists" might not like the colors.... But hey if you ever wanna run Renegade Guard you have a wonderful Slaanesh scheme!

Honestly the colors work though and like quite nice!
