So I've been experimenting with some new ideas for units under the 6th Edition rules and I've been inclined to reconsider the utility of the Honor Guard for an army that includes a chapter master already (Pedro Kantor, Marneus Calgar, etc.). 185 points buys you 5 models with 3 power weapon attacks each and a 2+ save. They lack the invulnerable save of terminators, but come in about the same price with a transport (240 points adds a Razorback with extra armor and 230 points is a min sized Tactical Terminator squad with an assault cannon) and with the new AP3 power weapon rules give you alot of flexibility as a counter assault unit against MEQ and power weapon assault specialists (Banshees). The power weapon option gives alot of flexibility in armament (power axe, sword, etc.) to suit different tastes and the 2+ save makes them pretty survivable. Any thoughts?
