I am currently working on my 6th editioin Necron list and plan on including a unit of 5 Lychguard with Nemesor and Obyron attached. With the new FAQ making Warscythes AP1 and Hyperphase Swords AP3, I am torn about how to equip them. I am still leaning towards Sword/Board because then they can tank nasty stuff long enough for Obyron to chop them down. That and I think it would be hilarious to charge and reflect Overwatch shots into the charge target. Or would I be better off saving the points and running Warscythes to slice vehicles and Terminators and using Obyron/Nemesor to tank for the Lychguard?

Sword and board lychguard all the way. Yes they can't mash termies and other 2+ enemies but they will still butcher power armor and below which is far more common anyway. Plus your overlord/obyron/lord attached with a warscythe can do the heavy lifting in that capacity.

Pretty much agree with this. You could use Nemesor out front to tank shots, and maybe a chronotek, but it seems like the safer build is Sword and Board with getting the AP 2 stuff from Obyron/attached Lord.
