I suppose the 6th edition has been a let down to each player in their own way.
I am annoyed about Eldar being messed up as they are supposed to be epic psykers, but they get the worst powers so I stick to codex rules.
If any Marine player is unhappy I want to piss in their face as they have the best fliipin army in the game.
Tau are angry coz of some target lock rule being gone.
Guardians (s 3 t 3) are 8 points have no weapons and are only their to hold objectives! Really?
So everyone thinks its crap but life is crap. We can't be stuck in the mad Universe of W40k and we just gotta accept it.

I'm seeing better games with far fewer 'bad' turns (ie a turn so desperate, you've almost no chance of coming back to winning the game).
I will say that I think it's much harder to build an 'all-comers' list, as there's a hell of a lot more to try to cater for now, but actually I don't tink that a bad thing at all.
So far I've only played one game of 6th where I've felt it was in any way a pushover for the winning side. In 5th I felt that happened more often (though in fairness, my sample size for 6th is too small as yet to draw reasonable conclusions from -- but it's encouraging)

Follow these two simple rules to ensure a happy Dakka experience:
Rule 1 - to be a proper 40K player you must cry whenever a new edition of the game is released, and always call opposing armies broken when you don't win.
Rule 2 - Games Workshop are always wrong and have been heading for bankrupcy within 5 years since the early 90s. |

Eldar have access to the best powers in the game and guardians being 8pts is not an 6ed issue. Marines are not the best army. No offence but you seem to be whining for the sake of whining. Nothing, except the mysterious target lock issue is correct.

I like 6th edition so far, the game seems less focused on rushing into CC as fast as possible and seems to be better balanced between shooting and CC, so running a rapid fire range shooting squad isn't a suicide unit. Vehicles having hull points means that they have to worry about glancing hits more now. The mysterious terrain/objectives/artifacts are interesting and keep the battlefield interesting.
Eldar definitely get some nice stuff out of the psychic powers they choose from, one being able to allow a squad to overwatch at full ballistic skill.

There's plenty of 6th ed threads with more value than this. Why not go post in one of those?
