Granted theirs are rather obvious like:

For dakka you could add something like "what does GW stand for?"
or something similar that pretty much everyone that comes across this site would know, but that random Korean people trying to sell discount jewelry and livestock don't.

The thing is, the more steps you add to the registration process, the more legitimate users that don't bother to register.

The spammers are annoying, but ultimately cleaning them out isn't difficult. And at least the current batch are fairly easy to spot, so you don't even have to worry about wasting your time accidentally opening a thread that turns out to just be spam

Luckily I cover the night shift of about 6pm-4am PST here on the forum and notice the bots pretty quickly and report them right away. I generally don't see them up for more than 30 minutes.
