I'm not to sure how to run Templar in 6th, but this is what I'm thinking for now:

Idea is to distract and entertain with CS, while rest of the army foot slogs and shoots

Any Idea, thoughts or changes?

As I'm new to the forum and have had a brief look around for instructions to perform links to the acronym dictionary, I'm unsure if this post is about to do that

This should be in the army list section.

Unless I'm mistaken the in Infiltrate special rule specifically states that if an Independent Character joins a squad of Infiltrators he cannot infiltrate with them unless he also has the rule.

Your army lack mobility. I would try to get transports/drop-pods for your crusader squads, you should also throw in a flamer or meltagun in those for extra umph.
