Sorry if this has been already posted.
OUYA could possibly be a great thing, depending on if people support it.
I backed the project to get the console, we'll see how it goes.

Yey, playing smartphone and Tabel games on an awkward resolution so you can count the pixels!
I honestly see no use for this.

If I want an open source game platform, why not just use a PC?

Better yet, get a PC and hook it up to a TV with a surround system.
That said, a dedicated console system would be cheaper for the consumer and easier to troubleshoot.

I'm really interested in this. My finger has hovered over the $99 a few times now. I like the concept, but $99 is a lot for me at the moment to throw at another kickstarter.

I have my doubts. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-07-14-saturday-soapbox-the-trouble-with-ouya I'm not quite as pessimistic as this article but I share some of the same concerns.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.
-Leman Russ, Meditations on Imperial Command book XVI (AKA the RT era White Dwarf Commpendium).
Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I don't see the point. Why am I buying a console that's not as powerful as my laptop, and has none of the additional functionality of that device?
Though, as it is I barely see the need to own a console at all. I only have them because I have disposable income and Amazon is awesome. I guess I might buy this as a novelty, but I see it as being very much like my Wii in that it will rarely be hooked up; let alone used.
