So if my lord is on the chariot and dies in combat, how do I place the everliving token? Does he come back in the CCB?

I played it as the Necron Overlord died on the barge and that is where I placed the token but I brought him back on the ground within three of the token as normal.
As he and the barge were not locked in combat when he comes back you don't pile him in but as it is much easier to surround a CCB and with my placement of the token on the CCB(probably incorrectly) it's also much easier to stop him from getting back up with a blocking unit.

Considering he was dead and has come back but you can only embark/disembark in the movement phase I wouldn't say you can Everliving back onto the barge.

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

Well if you can only embark/disembark in the movement phase then he never disembarked, did he? Technically he's not embarking either as he wasn't removed from play, he was just replaced with a token until the end of that phase and then either returned or removed after the roll. But it all still happens in one phase and generally it's not happening on your turn so you couldn't disembark unless the vehicle was wrecked.

Just saying, in this instance it would probably be more logical to leave him on the CCB but you could place him anywhere as "placing" is not embarking/disembarking.

This is a damn fine question good sir! Both the BRB -and- Codex dont cover this instance. A good find, and defiantly worth a spot on the GW Necron FAQ.

Does the enemy get a consolidation move? I don't think the Chariot does and they aren't locked in combat. If they don't then they would have to have enough models to be 3 deep on all sides of the CCB, otherwise you would be able to place the edge of your base 3" away from the barge.
