Hey dakka

I am learning how to play Thousand Sons all over again, simply because of the psychic powers potential. I am also having troubles with the Warlord Trait tables when it comes to my HQ, Ahriman. We all know that most of them won't even be beneficial to some armies, but some are great. Of course, which table you wish to roll on depends greatly upon opponent and a large number of other variables. So I come to you today asking for any general Warlord Traits tips you might have used.

Command:
Inspiring Presence is meh. All my sorcerers are LD10, as are demonic allies.
Intimidating- Meh. I don't plan on getting too close to anyone.
The Dust of a Thousand Worlds- I don't intend on walking through cover, unless I have to or just to get the Invisibility power fully up.
Master of Vanguard- All of my stuff except termies and fateweaver have the S&P rule so I can't run anyways. Yay!
Target Priority- Worth rolling for Command during objective games for a Thousand Sons army?
6 is meh, cause I probably won't charge unless it's orks (since Sons go at I4 now outside of terrain.

Personal Traits:
Counter attack could be good if I need Ahriman to lurk near an objective.
Furious Charge- Also meh, I shouldn't be assaulting.
Outflanking Ahriman with a unit of Terminators or Rubricae is just fun. Worth rolling on this table just for #3?
Legendary Fighter- I won't be issuing challenges, and with the new Fearless rules, I will be ducking out or just teleporting away via GoI.
Tenacity- FnP for Thousand Sons hopefully within Fateweaver's bubble? Yes.
Scoring Ahriman- Interesting, especially if I keep him in a unit of Terminators while the four Rubricae squads and Horrors chase objectives.

Strategic:
Conquerer- Yay, I can move through cover in Ruins? Totally depends upon terrain makeup.
Night Attack- Starting in cover, even though I'm deployed in the open? Go go gadget Invisibility psychic power.
Master of Ambush- I have no outflanking units.
Strategic Genius- I can deepstrike some terminators or Obliterators and get them when I want, or ensure that my 2nd wave of demons (fateweaver or horrors) arrives when I want.
Divide- Opponent has -1 modifier to reserves. Interesting de-buff, and could be a force multiplier for me.
Princeps- Redeploy stuff? Interesting.. Maybe.

I gather that Strategic is the best table to roll on for Ahriman as a Warlord. Do you agree or disagree? Once again, I am aware of the staggering amount of variables during 40k from deployment to mission type. I'm sure that because of these variables your answers will be very general and vague (not saying that in an insulting way, of course) but that is what I want because I'm trying to get all sorts of ideas. It seems that Thousand Sons are even more of a 'water' army than before, and the Warlord Traits could enhance my ability to react.

The last thing I want is to roll on the Warlord Table like it's some sort of random element that just "gets in the way". I feel that it needs to be discussed just like any other ability, and I admit that I have no clue how to use it best.

Thanks.
