Nurgle Veteran Marine with the Flu

In the book Garro: Sword of Truth (I haven't read it, so there are no spoilers), it talks about Garro interacting with a number of Space Marines from different Traitor Legions asking for Sanctuary. What I want to know is in your guy's opinions, if a sizable force of loyalist Astartes from a traitor Legion survived the Siege of Terra, could they have been put into Imperial Service, and then turned into a Chapter of Space Marines? I'm not sure if the Imperial commanders would use them for the fact that they just lost a butt load of space marines and need to bolster their defenses, or kill them to make sure that they couldn't also turn. Thoughts?
Also, can a Boarding Action between two ships take place in the Warp? I don't mean like, one ship launching Boarding Torpedos at another ship, but the more Fenrisian-style Ram-our-ship-into-yours approach.
EDIT: Another question, in a standard Codex chapter, is the 8th company the company that contains Bike Squads and/or Speeders, or are they distributed by request to the different companies?
Any help is appreciated,
Alexos.

So sayeth lexicanum. And quite frankly it makes sense to do so, those marines would be busy training recruits so it would be doubtful that they would come into conflict with their former brethren.

Its where the founding members came from, their Geneseed didn't make it into the base stock.
It is certaintly concievable that loyalist members of the Traitor legions could have been merged into new chapters.

It probably is possible to crash two ships into eachother while in warp transit, however you risk breaking the gellar field of both ships and thus allowing both ships to be torn apart/attacked by daemons.

And heaven forbid if the Marine would also happen to have an intimidating looking, vertical scar. Then you're surly boned. Those guys are the worst. Not a chance I'd say.

Yes, its even possable to fire weapons at each other. But you literally are firing blind as only the Astropath can see where the enemy is, and unless your Chaos you arn't going to open the windows and take a peek.
