I've recently seen a lot of BT lists thrown up, and after reading through thought I'd throw my own in =)
I'm not a competitive player, but I do play with a friend who is very competitive.
So my team needs to have a bit of standing if making him cry =)

I've collected BT for a while now, with 6th edition changing a hole load of things for us I thought I'd post my most recent army list.

HQ: Emperor's Champion
/w AAC
140pts

HQ: Master of Sanctity
/w Crozius arcanum - Rosarius - Artificer - PF - BP - Frag & Krak grenades
159pts

Troop: 5x Crusader squad
/w Lascannon - Plasma gun
101pts

Troop: 10x Crusader squad
/w PF - Melta gun - Frag grenades
195pts

Fast: Landspeeder Typhoon
70pts

Fast: Landspeeder Typhoon
70pts

Heavy: Land Raider Crusader
265pts
The 10 man crusader squad will bunk in this with the Emperor's Champ and the Chaplain.

Total: 1000pts

I am quite happy with this load out, my only stress is that I have put all my eggs into one basket. However if things go well I will have the maximum of 46 attacks on the charge, all of which can be re-rolled if missed.
Originally I used have a team of assault termies inside the LRC but have recently suffered a lot of unluckiness (team of 5 termies kill in 1 turn by a team of 10 warriors in the shooting phase WTF?).

Let me know what you think.
I welcome criticism

Cheers,
Odinson

Basically, when the Space Wolves are busy getting smashed, the Blood Angels are busy arranging their hair, the Ultrasmurfs are busy boosting their own egos, the Dark Angels are busy being paranoid heretics, the Salamanders are busy setting things on fire, and the Imperial Fists are busy being pious, you can count on the Black Templars to get things done. Righteously and with no mucking around.

Looks alright to me. I would say try it out a few times and see how it goes. The typhoons are not as good as they use to be, heavy 1 twin linked now. They never carried the "heavy 2" over from the previous FAQ in 5ed. A land raider at 1000 points should be interesting.

I have also realised that the land speeder typhoons are no longer present in the 6th ed FAQ. But I think it would be unfair to suspect that the previous rules mentioned for them become obsolete.

Unless someone calls it (and they'd be A-holes if they did) and states that I'd be cheating if I used the 5th edition rules, I'm using str 8 Ap 3 Heavy 2 =)

Yeah drop the typhoons...why there weren't kept updated I'll never know. You don't really need the frag grenades IMO on the squad in the crusader since...you're in a crusader. You could pick up another crusader las/plas squad and have some points laying about.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

I'm not sure about loosing the Land Speeders, they've helped me win far to many games by contesting objectives on the last turn. However if they really can't use decent missile launchers any more then they are a costly option.

If I lost the speeders these are my other fairly decent options.

Troop - 5x Crusader
/w Lascannon an Plasma gun

3x neophytes thrown in with the LRC

The remaining points would probably be used to pimp out the Chaplain, maybe giving him a plasma pistol or SS.

The other option is to take a 5 team assault squad fully equip with all the bells and whistles.

From what i can see w/ ur EC ur going more towards assault based.

HQ: Master of Sanctity
/w Crozius arcanum - Rosarius - Artificer - PF - BP - Frag & Krak grenades
159pts

Just take a standard Chaplian, you can call out Sergeants now so you shouldnt b to afraid of them PF's and your 2+ save isnt going to do much other than save you from PW's and ML's

Troop: 5x Crusader squad
/w Lascannon - Plasma gun
101pts

If you are going assault id stick w/ assault grab 3 more guys and throw em in a rhino or DP PF, MG standard load out.

Troop: 10x Crusader squad
/w PF - Melta gun - Frag grenades
195pts

Great other than the Grenades, normaly your not going to unload from a LRC and then throw grenades at a vehicle then try and assault them. Your LRC already gives you grenades if you assault the turn you unload so why take these?

Fast: Landspeeder Typhoon
70pts

Drop em you dont need em, they are Nerfed and wont do much for you but die turn 1. Grab a Dread in a DP or give him a better gun and walk him ur the field, for the most part no one will care about ur dread seeing how you will DP a squad of crusaders behind enemy lines and have a LRC crusader flying up the field

Heavy: Land Raider Crusader
265pts

Love it shock and awe no oe expects a LR in a 1k point game ive been to tournys where some one ran 2 and neither died the entire tourny (a few lucky coversaves) either way it goes the list you have is pretty solid i know you said you love ur Landspeeders, so did i i ran 6 of em in just about every list i had. But things have changed and they arent that good anymore

Hello peeps,
cheers for the replies.

I origionally used to roll with two Crusader squads in Rhinos but thought I'd swap one to ranged with the recent changed to ranged and our vow. However the idea of throwing a dreadnought and tact squad at the enemy gates seems like a fun idea. Cant help but worry that they'll been crunched to bits before they get the chance to get into combat.

As mentioned above, I love the idea of this. However it doesn't fit to well with my price margin, unless I leave my Dread at 95pts and add nothing; maybe a multi-melta. The ranged damage and fire power of 2 land speeders out weighs this in my opinion (although is fully depends whether or not the typhoons are heavy 2)

Just take a standard Chaplian, you can call out Sergeants now so you shouldnt b to afraid of them PF's and your 2+ save isnt going to do much other than save you from PW's and ML's

Although it would free up some points I can't help but feel that a 2+ save has never been more powerful. For sure its a bit over kill, like you said only a PF or TH (give to take a few special weapons) in CC are gonna pose any real threat. I also want to keep his PF for challenges.

With these notes in mind I'm gonna go and sit down with a pen and paper and work on a few new warbands

Cheers,
Odinson
