I'm looking to create an Alaitoc Elder army like John Shaffer's in the 5th edition rule book. Does anyone know of any tutorials or guides on how he did his stippling technique on the vehicles and what colors he used? I know GW use to have a painting guide for it on their website before they took down all their articles. Does anyone know if there is a guide in the new "How to Paint Citadel Miniatures" book for this paint scheme? Thanks in advance.

There is not a guide in that particular book. One White dwarf recently had an updated guide for Dire Avengers blue armour, which is close. I would probably look at Painting Guides "BLUE" (starting with Kantor Blue) for armour and "Yellow" for helmets and "BONE" for the weapons. If you have the old citadel paints in stock PM me and I can dig up the fromula. Check my gallery as I have used it fairly recently.

As far as the stippling, the article just suggested using a stippling brush one color over another. I found it nice to have three different sizes of bush using the largest drybrush for the first layer, a medium tight bristol brush for the second layer and the stippling brush for the third layer.
