Hello there DakkaDakka community.

I've been on here for probably a year, just never got around to introduving myself on here before now.

About me:
I am a happily married man with 1 daughter.
WH40k is where I got started in this great hobby that is wargaming, but I have expanded into WH fantasy, Mordheim, Bloodbowl, and Warmahordes (probably will be more in the future, who knows).
I actually bought my first GW figures without knowing that's what I was getting - HeroQuest. All I knew was that I had heard about this game, and it sounded awesome. This seemed to me to be a great way to spend all that birthday and Christmas money. My younger self thought the paint job I did on my HeroQuest figures was awesome (years later, I would come to realize it was not so good).
Cut to over a decade later, and my rpg group was going to be running a wh40k roleplaying game, and the dm told us that if we bought and painted up a model from the range to represent our character, we would get some cool benefits starting out. Naturally, I immediately went to the FLGS (Gnome Games) and picked up a paint set box with some space marines in it. We ended up not playing that rpg, so the box sat on a shelf in my closet for about 3 or 4 years until my brother-in-law decided he wanted to try out playing wh40k, and he wanted me to pick it up as well, since it would be easier to learn it together.
I got hooked.
So much time and money later, here I am, completely addicted to the plastic crack, with a large army of Dark Angels, a smaller army of Beastmen, a few warbands for Mordheim, and a small force of Hordes Trollbloods.

P.S. I am lucky enough to have a rockin gamer chick for a wife, and she runs Chaos Daemons for 40k, Circle Orboros for Hordes, and a Possessed warband for Mordheim.
