As the title suggest do you consider this kind of list still competitive?

THIS IS NOT AN ASSAULT ARMY.

As many of you will point out this isn't at all an assault army and, of course, I'm quitely concerned too about the complete (apart the Wolf Lord) unavailability of CC evaluable units.

However, I may see a solid defensise power in this list, a nice saturation of AV (even if they're very less resilient than before), and a serious shooty power available.

Nightfighting and smoke launchers should help enough in the first/second turn, enough to let the bigger part of the army reaching the lovely 24" range.

For your info:
- the Wolf Lord and Master of the Runes will join together 1 melta unit in Rhino (this way I will be able to cast both the psychic powers and let the hood blocking some enemy)
- the Living Lightning Rune priest will instead sit back, behind the Aegis line, givin' reroll to hit on Long Fangs. At one unit per time of course, but depending on target positions he should help both of the MLs units switching from a unit to another.
- the 3 Lascannons Razorbacks will run empty and the Flamers units will sit in cover. Both of them behind the Aegis lines allowing one GH to manouvre the Icarus cannons.

Unfortunately, until the famous and kindly waited skyfire upgrades for infantry weapons will be publushed, I can't see a lot of different solutions and, unfortunately too, pricy setups like Loganwings, TWC or Terminators spams aren't competitive anymore due to the inevitable lack of shooty power.


Opinions?

SS are much less important now that power weapons are AP3. Dropping that will give you the points to throw ML on your longfang squad and have a bit left over for COTS

Rp can either take codex powers or take the random new powers. You cannot take 1 of eack.

I would still have all missile launchers on the longfangs. The day has not come for heavy bolters.

I think currently TL turrets are the best form of antiflyer available to you barring the quad guns.

I guess you need your grey hunters in the razorbacks to drive to objectives.
As such I would get a squad of wolf guards to put one on each longfangs to arm the quad guns.

The obvious question is you need to leave your vehicle to score, plus vehicles are no longer so safe: will 25 scoring models be enough?
