Was looking into winsor and newton series 7 on dickblick.com but im not sure what sizes to buy. They range from 3/0 all the way up to a 6. Do i need all of them or just the lower ones. Which ones should i get to start out with, most are around 10 dallors a brush except for the large ones seem to be about 20.

I do 99% of my work with a 1, followed by a 0 for more detailed work and a 00 for fine details ( sometimes even 000). bigger than a 1 and your looking at something akin to a base coating brush and i would not spend the money on a brush that big in series 7 when there are cheaper options for large brushes (like the scepter hybrids or Cotmans) that are just as effective.

Hope this helps
