Eeeek, your post is an eye sore. Clean it up a little bit. All we need is squad name, squad size, and squad upgrades/options. Their generic war gear is not needed. Also, you could shorten it quite a bit without spaces between everything.
For example, your heavy support should look like this:
Heavy Support:
Long Fangs x6: Missile launcher x5, Las/plasback
Long Fangs x6: Missile launcher x5, Las/plasback
Long Fangs x6: Missile launcher x5, Las/plasback
On topic of your actual list, your Wolf guard aren't troops unless you take Logan. On the note of troops, you need more of them. In a foot slog list, you need to field numbers. I'd drop a priest and grab another Grey Hunter squad.
Use the second list but change the loadout of your razorbacks to twin-linked assault cannon. It still gives you light anti-tank coverage and is really good at taking out infantry too. It's alot more versatile than the las/plas is.

And when the Land Raider shows up.......
I dont think it is wise to not have something that can take care of AV14. It is undoubted that it will be there.

The biggest hit that the las/plas took was the gets hot! affecting vehicles now too. That being said, the Las/plas is still actually better for light vehicle hunting, considering the fact that every damage result he rolls has a +1 to the damage chart, not just rending hits. The twin-link of a plasma on the razorback makes it far more useful than say plasma cannon sponsons on a LR Executioner.
That being said, the problem I have with both lists is the HQ slots. You're spending 453 points on 3 models! That's nearly 1/3 of your total list's points value. I would drop one of the rune priests, and drop the master of runes on them. That's still enough to get the psychic powers you want, and still cover most of the board with your 4+ psyker negation. Next, you're wolf guard packs are not troops unless you have Logan Grimnar, so unless you have him in there don't count them as troops, they're elites. The next problem with the wolf guard, you're paying almost 300 points for 5 models and a transport. If you want to droppod the wolf guard in, you're better off taking 2 grey hunters squads with plasma, 4 grey hunters squads with 5 models, a melta (no other unit upgrades other than a wolf guard pack leader) with pods and tossing on a pair of combi-meltas to each pack leader. However I think you're better off sticking with the las/plasThe list would look something like this;
The only armies that I think could give you a problem are a horde style Nid army or a Sea of Green Ork army. Since neither of those armies are really "tournament" lists then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Subject: Re:1850 Space Wolves Tournament 6th Edition
master of runes means you know and can use 2 Pyschic powers a turn. Unfortunately, all the ones you picked for all 3 are shooting powers, and you can only use 1 shooting power per turn. So, it's a total waste.
You may want to do LL, JOTWW, MH one of each..then put Temptests Wrath on all 3 to help with cover if needed.
Other then that, it's a 5th ed list. All of those 3 HP vehicles with AV11 are going to get wiped out, SW termies are hella expensive. You are probably wasting 500 points in that list if you are trying to be economic.
For that, you could get Astorath + 7 death company...or a Reclusiarch and 9 as an ally. It'd add something you sorely need in your list, massive attacks and mobility...
I was planning on giving the Rune Priests the Divination powers. That is the purpose for MoR. The third list is more points optimized. Be sure the look at that one.

dorantana wrote:1st: you list is illegal. All of the Wolf Guard MUST be different in Wargear as they are now considered characters.
2: I am trying to get input for my lists.... Why would you post in my thread?
Why must they take different wargear? If you are thinking of the Pack Leader rule, that only applies to HQ choices. His Rune Priests are illegal though...
You really should start up your own thread, hi jacking is not nice.
On topic, this looks better than the first list. I don't really agree with the las/plas backs at all. I would drop them and go all on foot and grab a 5th GH squad. Also, as per the powers on your priests, I would take living lightning on both. Since it is a psychic power, it cannot take snap shots, so it then hits on your BS. Effectively giving you better sky fire than your ADL.
Another option would be to bring some WG in TDA to take advantage of the new wound allocation. Stick one in each GH squad, right in the front to soak up as much firepower as possible.
3 Rune Priests is a little excessive. Rune Priests are great, don't get me wrong. But 1 or 2 is usually enough to shut down enemy psykers and bring just enough psychic oomph to your list. If it were me, I'd drop down to just one with Master of Runes until the rest of the list is flushed out.
Also, what kind of Runic Weapon are these guys rocking? The rules are different based on what is modeled. Even better, its potentially possible that a Runic Sword is different than a Runic Axe for the purposes of the Leaders of the Pack rule! Waiting on YMDC to answer that one for me...
EDIT: I was mistaken about the Runic Axe vs Runic Sword. Doesn't work that way. Its an Unusual Force Weapon thanks to the bit about Daemons, so its S:User I:User AP:3 always. Will have to do the usual wargear shenanigans for them.
So lots of fat in the HQ section that can be cut.
Your troops, again what kind of power weapon is being modeled? It makes a difference in my opinion. I approve of the layout overall however. Even in 5th edition I've been running 3 Grey Hunter packs like that and I've never been disappointed in them in any of the variety of armies I've played against.
Your support from your Long Fangs is fairly solid. Lascannons are better now than they were before. I would consider doing twin linked Lascannons on the Razorbacks though. I've always preferred it myself in 5th edition, but there are even more reasons now including: 1) Flyers. Being able to re-roll to try to get a 6 is nice. 2) Gets Hot now causes a Glancing hit on vehicles, which could end up wrecking the sucker since its just 3 Hull Points I believe.
The Aegis Defense Line is kind of meh. A Bastion for your Long Fangs to setup on would be nice, but I suppose you are only taking the ADL for the quad gun. I'd consider taking Allies (IG being choice) if you are that worried about Flyers. Plus it gives you more cheap scoring units! Being able to use a Platoon to hold down your home objectives and let your Grey Hunters advance freely is refreshing.

ArcSoll wrote:J Mac's list looks similar to the list I'll be running. Wasn't sure on MoR, and I'm also thinking some PC's on the Long Fangs.
I wasn't 100% sure if psychic powers were able to hit fliers since they couldn't take snapshots though.
I didn't notice the wolf guard for some reason...
I put those points into another GH Squad, but now I'm debating keeping them and having them lead the GH's...
I actually think I am wrong about the psychic powers hitting flyers. The rule states that all shots resolved against flyers must be fired as a snap shot. I know for sure that Blood Lance from Blood Angels will hit them without having to roll on the account that it doesn't roll to hit.

A bastion is 25 more points and not much better than considering the quad gun is still a gun emplacement, meaning it can be targeted and destroyed. The only advantage is a better save. However, you cannot place an objective in a building, but you can place one in the ADL (correct me if I'm wrong).
As for taking IG as an ally for more skyfire, I am assuming you're talking about Hydras. Hydras suck now! The skyifre rule with the absence of interceptor rule makes them terrible. The hit grounded targets at BS1!
