On the back of the space marine codex, they have a pic of a small space marine army, and I noticed the sergeant with the red helmet who was leading the tactical squad, wielding a mace and combi weapon.
Is this an old OOP model or some sort of conversion, if so, how did they do it?
If anyone knows, thanks!

He looks like a converted character model. I know that DA get a power maul in their upgrade kit, and the combi-melta looks like the one from the Commander kit with a hand swap.

This was what I was thinking. You can tell the torso section is from a character as the head is sort of fused into the body rather than being separate pieces.

body w/arm and maul are one piece, and the combi-plasma is another bit...
the chainmail back banner is from the same set...
