Hi all,

A week ago I randomly decided to do some painting and converting.

Many years ago... 12 maybe? I used to collect Imperial Guard. Never really played with them, just enjoyed painting those squishy SOBs.
Anyway, rumour has it there's a new rulebook and there's some new additions race-wise it seems; so this time I thought I'd have another go and maybe create a playable army.

So, given I love painting and converting... I wanted an army with variety, which whittled my choices down to the Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Orks and the Dark Eldar.

At the moment, I'm tempted to go with the Space Marines, but not sure which chapter. The new Roman themed kits from Forge World look awesome, so I was thinking of creating something along those lines in either a bright colour like the Imperial fists, or something heavily metallic.

Any suggestions or pics would be highly appreciated!

This may be completely incorrect, but I think I remember hearing that the Roman style marines are meant to tie in with the Minotaurs chapter:

Might be just what you're after?

Welcome to Dakka, btw.

Thanks guys,

@htj - I checked out the Minotaurs, they look pretty sweet. I've already spent £38 in bits from Anvil and eBay to create a tactical squad and a tasty looking sergeant.
Do I spend the extra £18 on Minotaur shoulder pads and transfers from Forgeworld though? That's the question...
