So I had another crack at the rules, and this is what I came up with...a game versus myself (because I STILL can’t convince my brother to play), cygnar versus khador. I’m going to spoiler the pics and leave the text in the open. DON’T open the spoilers if you don’t like proxies, dodgy boards, or
40k models pretending to be jacks and infantry. The pictures are just there to provide a visual aid to see what happens each turn. While some of the
40k models have bases a bit wrong, its not so bad that it ruined the game.

Cygnar 1
Haley gives 1 focus to the defender and keeps the rest to herself
The defender runs forwards, Haley walks forwards and casts deceleration.
Trencher unit and Finn dig in. In other words please don’t let the destroyer be in range...
Khador 1
Sorscha gives 1 to juggernaut, 1 to destroyer, 1 to deathripper, and keeps the last 3.
The ‘Jacks activate first and all run (the destroyer would have been out of range), then Sorscha, who walks forwards behind them, casts fog of war (everyone was in range).
Cygnar 2
Haley gives 2 to the defender, and keeps 6.
Haley activates and casts Temporal acceleration on the defender and Deceleration on herself.
The Defender then shoots twice at the destroyer. First attack hits, boosts damage, 8 damage in column 3. Second shot hits, 10 damage in column 1. Left arm crippled.
Trencher unit
CRA’s into the Deathripper. They manage to hit despite the fog of war. Damage is 13 damage in column 1. Cortex and Head crippled.
Finn shoots into the deathripper. Gets to shoot 3 times, Misses twice and hits, 5 damage to column 4. Arc node crippled.
Khador 2
Sorscha gives 1 focus to the destroyer and keeps 5.
Destroyer runs.
Sorscha walks forwards, casts fog of war and then wind rush on the juggernaut.
Deathripper moves 7 inches and ends up 1 inch from Finn.
Cygnar 3
Haley gives 2 focus to the defender, and keeps 6.
Finn activates first, fires into the deathripper. 2 shots, a miss and a hit, 7 damage, wrecks it.
Trenchers activate next and clear the way before shooting into the destroyer for 7 damage to column 6, movement crippled.
Haley activates next and advances to in front of the defender. She dominates the juggernaut into the back of the destroyer, casts temporal acceleration on the defender, and then feats.
The Juggernaut hits the destroyer and does 6 damage on column 2.
Defender moves 5 inches to leap frog in front of Haley, shoots at the juggernaut twice but misses both times.
Khador 3
Sorscha gives 2 focus to herself, 1 to the juggernaut, 3 to the destroyer
Sorscha activates and makes a full advance into Finn, Juggernaut advances into the Defender and the Destroyer advances into the trenchers
Cygnar 4
Haley gives 2 focus to the defender, and leaves the rest to herself. She shuffles across to the left, telekeniseses the defender 2” away and casts temporal acceleration on the defender as well. She then shoots her hand cannon into the juggernaut. Hits, but no damage.
The Defender shoots twice into the juggernaut. First shot does 4 damage to column 2. Second shot does 9 damage to column 4.
Finn activates and attacks Sorscha, fails to penetrate her armour so does 1 damage.
Trenchers retreat from the Destroyer, its 2 free swings hit with 1 and misses the other, crushes a trencher beneath his mighty boot. They then shuffle across, shoot into the juggernaut and do 8 damage to column 5.
Khador 4
Sorscha gives 3 to herself, 2 to the juggernaut and 1 to the destroyer.
She strikes at Finn with 3 attacks and kills him very very dead. So dead that he doesn’t stand back up.
Juggernaut moves into the defender, first strike hits and does 6 damage to column 4. Second strike hits and does 2 damage to column 1.
The Destroyer moves into the trenchers and squashes one dead.
Cygnar 5
Haley divvies up focus same as last turn (6 to her and 2 to the defender), moves to her left, telekineseses the defender away and then temporal accelerates it as well. She shoots the Juggernaut, hits and gets no damage (2 turns in a row I’ve rolled 19 on damage, oh well).
Defender shoots twice, hits (with 6,6) and hits (with 6,5... go defender!) Does 4 damage to column 1, and 4 damage to column 1 again.
The Trenchers try to disengange, one dude gets crushed as they back away, they shoot at the juggernaut and hit it, doing 2 damage to column 2.
Khador 5
Sorscha keeps all the focus barring one which she gives to the destroyer. She razorwinds haley twice, first one misses, second one hits, 6,5,3 (+10) = 10 damage to haley (if only the first one had hit...sigh)
The Destroyer advances into the trenchers, crushing 1.
Juggernaut advances into the defender and trenchers, no attacks, so no real effect (but I do get strikes when they run back).
Cygnar 6
Haley gives 4 focus to defender, accelerates it and heals herself 1. She moves away from everyone into concealing cover (the lego forest).
Defender moves away from the juggernaut, free strike does 1 damage to column 6. Then it shoots at Sorscha twice, doing 10 and 4 damage to her. She’s got 1 health left.
Trenchers Ho! Assault order given, one crushed by the destroyer as they disengage then they hit and manage one damage, victory to the trenchers (and the rest of the Cygnar people too I guess)!
Rules queries;
1) Trenchers would get +8 on the
CRA because there are 5 trenchers, a leader and 2 grenadiers right?
2) Telekinesis doesn’t give the enemy free strikes right?
Things to take away;
1) Trenchers rock
2) Haley rocks (even though she is a bit fragile. NEVER GET THAT CLOSE AGAIN, get a lancer instead)
3) Defender rocks
