Just trying to get a feeling for which Eldar power weapon entries are unusual. Some of them fit the bill but it doesn't make a tangible difference (like the diresword as it would be ap3 either as an usual power weapon or a simple power sword). I'd say the +2 strength on the executioner makes it unusual even though as a glaive it might visually count as an axe. Powerblades are a single weapon (not 2 per the faq despite the description and plural noun) that grant +1 attack and specifically state they ignore armor saves so I'd say they're unusual (but are not ap3 due to the ignore all armor rule being spelled out as well as its special rules). The laser lance specifically modifies the strength to 6 on the charge and would probably classify as unusual for ap3 on the turn it charges (instead of the more general power lance entry that differs in all stats). The spear of twilight, fire axe, and staff of ulthamar all specifically ignore armor through different wording other than just using "power weapon" so don't need to be ruled on.

The +2 strength would distinguish it from a power axe (which gives +1)

These weapons are all unusual power weapons and therefore are AP3. I know their specific rules say they ignore armour, which still applies. The AP of them matters if/when they hit a vehicle.

True... I hadn't thought of the new interaction with vehicle damage now that close combat weapons can have a specific AP.

I haven't read all of the weapons through but the Staff of Ulthamar isn't a Power weapon. It have to say so and nowhere is it written.

This is in part why the gods of Chaos are less pivotal in Codex Chaos; we felt that the motivations of Chaos Space Marines should remain their own, no matter how debased and vile. Though the corrupted Space Marines of the Traitor Legions make excellent champions for the gods of Chaos, they are not pawns and have their own agendas of vengeance, empire-building vindication or arcane study which gives them purpose. |

That's what I said about it (that it uses its own wording that is not power weapon and doesn't need to be considered). Sorry if that wasn't clear.
