Like the Veterans in Vendettas thing. Don't like the CCS or the quad gun thing.

Grey hunters need to have 2 meltas and wulfen in them to be effective.

Long fangs are fine.

Dislike the wolf guard and what you are doing with the RP's. Divination seems pretty cool....but there are none of the powers in the BRB that are as good as JOTWW. Especially if you aren't putting the WG in termy armour to protect the RP's (which is harder how without would allocation shenanigans BTW). If you put 2 RP's walking with 4 3+ wound and no invul guys on the board, you are going to get 350 wiped out very quickly.

Also, no tranports...I know...they suck now....but man, those grey hunters are going to get rocked. Maybe forget about the WG, take a hunter out of 2 of the squads and put the RP's in there and 4 rhinos. At least they will get 12" from deployment without having to take a leadership .

Vendettas outflanking will help turn 2-3...but especially if you are playing an agressive army....this kind of army list may be already in alot of trouble by turn 3 against certain type of lists.

I'd say make a few "defensive" type changes (rhinos, getting your RP's with more wounds around him) and maybe consider some thunderwolf cavalry.....they can run out front and occupy enemy fire for a couple of rounds while all your other stuff gets in position.

GL with ur wolves!

One thing I would change is this ; Take the meltaguns away from your IG and give them to your Grey Hunters. Give the IG dudes plasmaguns instead.

The reason is that you don't want your guardsmen to get close to the enemy, but you DO want your Grey Hunters up close.

I kind of like the idea of Divination. Just take 1 RP with divination and keep the primaris power. Use it to giving your long fangs re-rolls to hit. Consider taking a wolf preist in lieu of your other RP. Add him to one of your GH squads that has plasmaguns. He will give that unit preferred enemy against Infantry allowing them to re-roll all rolls of 1's to hit. Your plasmaguns will never get hot then AND you'll re-roll to hit in CC. Also...JotWW is a better power, but do you still get to pick it? I think you have to roll for it.

I agree with what deggreg said about transports. You need them and despite what everyone is saying - they don't *suck* now. A Rhino is a bargain at 35 points. Get four of them. You can drop a total of 5 or 6 standard grey hunters (that's about 75 - 90 points) to pay for Rhinos, then your WG can lead the squads and your RP's can join too.

Can you put any space wolves in the Vendettas? If so I would consider putting your veteran squads on top of objectives and behind the defense line. Use the wolves to take the fight to the enemy.

EDIT : I forgot to mention mark of the wulfen. If you plan on using any of your grey hunters in CC, then you definitely want MotW in those squads. It's also a bargain at 15 points - much better than a power weapon.

Foot slogging grey hunters probably need plasmas for the range. Then the vets. should only leave the aeroplane to down something big, so the meltas are probably worth it, maybe even bring the demo charges for this reason.

How about the command squad dude who helps reserve rolls? I guess this isn't an issue as you want them on early to cause pain, but then coming late helps with winning objectives.

Also maybe try a wolf priest with sage of the hunter. Stealth to the css hiding behind the ADL, would be nice, whilst they could outflank and acute sense with grey hunters if you are worried about your lack of speed.

Maybe bring some heavy plasma guns or lascannons with the longfangs just so you can deal with it all.

In general very good list for foot slogging grey hunters
