Hello all, so in the past(right after the book came out) I made a bunch of space wolves riding vypers(got em for 10 bucks cash for 20 in retail awesome trade skills) for my thunderwolf calvary. They look awesome and they are the only thing I kept. However I was thinking of using vypers for my nobs on warbikes. I think it could be fun. I was thinking I would try to keep them hovering on the low base, and if need be put them on a biker base(although it would not look as good). Considering how big the official forgeworld warboss and nob bikers are I dont see it being an issue.

Would anyone have a problem with this, or would you all consider this modeling for advantage? Also I would make a wazzdakka this way.

I made a 'hovering' Wazdakka from a landspeeder. No one's ever complained.

To me, it seems fine for orks to loot skimmer-type vehicles to count-as bikes, so long as:
- model them so they're barely off the ground (fluffwise, the meks don't know how to repair the skimmer engines properly). Paint scratches and scrapes on the underside to show how the vehicle can barely take off at all. This should also help keep the model close to normal bike height.
- put them on bike bases, to avoid ingame arguments re base to base contact
- if the model is too wide, don't be afraid to get out the mek welding torch (i.e. your razor saw) and remove unwanted bits. This also helps with the 'looted and badly repaired' look.

I decided to just do it for Wazdakka/warboss on bike since it is a paint to file the vypers down and lots of micro management, also requires extra bits from the ork fighter that I might be able to get but not sure. Still havent decided on a rider model yet or the guns to use. Lots of bits still need to be added but
