Tom Vasel joins us in the third chair! Tom, whom Russ calls "The Dean of Boardgame Podcasting" is the man behind the Dice Tower Podcast.

Since Tom got an early chance to play Descent 2, and since Russ and Craig have read through the rules, we thought it would be fun to do a Descent second edition preview. We cover what's new, what is compatible, and what to expect from this update to a beloved game.

Later it's a double game episode as the three hosts then dive into Leviathans! The brand new game of flying ship combat from Catalyst Game Labs.

Another enjoyable episode.

I also want to thank you all for your efforts as you've given me a large amount of entertainment over the years and I want all of you to know that I still appreciate it.

Good show as usual. Leviathans sounds interesting and I'm glad to see it finally come out after all the issues it had.

Another fine show.

I'm really happy that you guys previewed Descent 2. Now, I can really consider if I want to get a copy of Road to Legend and Altar of Despair...which right now I'm thinking, 'no.'

Leviathans could be fun.

Craig, due to a minor financial windfall, my wife and I were able to take in a Les Miserables show in Seattle. The new staging is awesome. I really wanted to get a look at how everything went together, something I always like to see from traveling shows from when I used to be a stage hand.

Leviathans and Decent 2 both sound really fun ... too bad my funds are all tapped out now thanks to sedition wars and dropzone commander :/ So many games, so little money.

Another great show guys! Really enjoyed the Leviathans review. Now I wish I had made time to try a demo while I was at Adepticon. The miniatures gamer in me is a little disappointed that the minis in the game are not necessarily WYSIWYG, but the variety gained by doing it this way probably more than compensates for this. I'm going to have to get my pre-order in post-haste! Descent 2 doesn't really interest me a whole lot, but then I'm just not a fantasy/dungeon crawl sort of guy.

Oh, and Craig: Hope you are feeling better soon!

I was happy to see Descent 2 at the game store today. It had been pre-ordered by someone else, and it was the only copy they had. Sadness.

Just listened to the latest Lost Chapter. Fascinating story on the history behind Dakka Dakka (both website and store). Another good 3rd chair in Jon...particularly impressed with how he took the reins and became interviewer and Russ became interviewee for much of the episode. Also...extremely happy with the audio quality in this episode. Seems like the last 6 or 7 episodes (both TLC and regular D6G) have been plagued with Skype dropouts...it was very nice to a have a clean unbroken show start to finish. Don't know if that's something you guys fixed on your end, but if so, well done!

It was totally Jon's idea to interview me, which was fun!

As for audio quality: We've been very disappointing with the audio the last few episodes as well, so I took steps to improve our bandwidth at the "D6G Recording Compound" and it looks like it helped. The audio quality throughout episode 108 (which will be a megasode!) with Jon was also much better.

Glad the improvement was noticeable!
