"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

"Fairly heavily comped" yet you're allowed 2 hydras and a Pendant Dreadlord?
If you want to run a Dreadlord on a Dark Pegasus, the "standard" option is much better than your current loadout. Sword of Might, Dragonehelm, full mundane armour, Pendant and Stubborn Crown makes for a much better and durable roadblock than your current chap. If you're not allowed Pendant and Crown on the same model, you can swap the Crown out for the Black Dragon Egg or OTS.
The level 4 could do with the addition of the Sacrificial Dagger, it turns the DE magic phase from just really good to stupidly awesome.
A hero support mage would be useful, either a Fire level 2 or a Metal level 1.
If you want to run a shooting heavy list, shades will do it infinitely better then the core xbows. You're also not getting the most out of Shadow magic, as you have nothing to make use of Mindrazor. At 2400, you can get a good core of 30 Corsairs with full command and frenzy banner, 20 Power Dice and then 10-12 xbows with a musician just to round out your core.
3 units of harpies is a little bit superfluous. 2 is good, 1 is fine.
If you're running Shadow magic, you really don't need Executioners as they really don't add anything that Black Guard can't do better. 50 Executioners will kill a fair bit of stuff, but it's also very easy to redirect. Corsairs and Black Guard with Shadow magic are just much more efficient.
I'm really not a fan of hydras, as they're just too easy to deal with in my opinion. I started phasing mine out and I never looked back, I'd much rather have 10 more shades.

lol need 3000 points before i can get 3
i'm only borderline allowed 2 hydras and the lord, i'll get like 0 comp i just won't have to resubmit. The original list i submitted had 80 crossbows, THAT one i did have to change
i personally dislike corsairs; as a flanking unit witch elves are superior. the harpies are there to round out core, also as cheap throwaway block/denial units
have changed my mind about shadow, i'll probably take death instead
thoughts?

Listen to tmarichards he has given you very solid advice. I do a little happy dance when I see hydras they are free points and Ive won atleast two games by simply killing my free hydra points and then refusing to come out and play.

When Hydras get into combat, they can do a lot of damage. People know this, and tend to target them early, so Hydras often don't make it into combat.
It is possible to make use of this and use a hydra as a fire magnet, allowing other stuff to make it across the board unmolested. Just make that your plan in the first place and don't try to DEPEND on the hydra making it into combat.
