I am looking for some advice of what ork unit I should get next, I have one battleforce but I'm looking to expand my army. A reply stating what units have worked best or killed the most for you, or against you would be much appreciated.

May the heretic burn.

You probably could have edited your other topic to include this question, but I would advise keeping your eyes open for deals on Attack on Blackreach ork boyz on ebay. You'll certainly need more boyz, as they're the staple of your army. Depends, though. That only works if you want to use slugga boyz. From there I would buy Ghaz, since he's a beast in close combat.

You'll need more trukks to make your single one work.
You'll need more bikers to make your bikes work, even to work as nob bikers.
This would imply another battle force.
Then you need a HQ.

This assumes you want a fast force.

In any case bring more boyz and definitely lootas. You'll want a lot of lootas, so this will big a sizeable investment.

It still really depends on how you would play. If you intend to play a trukk list, then you need some more trukks and a KFF Mek.
If you run a tide get more boyz.....a lot of boyz, easy way someone said above is get AOBR boyz on the ebayz. Grab a warboss, either AOBR one or a big choppa one. And try to get more bikes. with overwatch and all that they got a little bit better.

Boyz before toyz. ALWAYS BOYZ BEFORE TOYZ.

When in doubt, you probably need more boyz.. If you've only got a battleforce, that means you have a pitiful 20 boyz. You'll need at least 20-40 for most lists, unless you're running a biker horde or something. I'd probably go for another battleforce or two, that way you'll get enough bikers to actually use them, and have enough trucks to actually run a truck spam list in small points games.

Most lists I think need a bit more than 20-40...Id call that bare minimum.

But this advice is still correct. YOU NEED MORE BOYZ! After which you need to figure out what direction you want your army to go. Will you use lots of footslogging boyz with kanz and dreds. Lots of boyz in Trukks and wagons. Lotz of boyz backked up by da flyboyz.

In short get more boyz...Id say once you have about 60-70 you can start to decide which way you want to go and start buying all the toyz.

Not to worry, that block of chedder can be tied up easily with 30 boyz, can get his ass handed to him in a match with Ghazzy, and can be squigified with Zogwort. How satisfiying would that be? ....Squigfiston, Lord of gak...

Yeah I should have added that i meant thats the bare minimum for low points games around 1,000pts or so. I still don't have a ton of orks myself so I was trying to speak from experience.

Oh, and I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but most of the time, you'll want shoota boyz. They just put out so many shots and they can still hold their own in assault as well. Only time I'd rather have sluggaz would be in a bw bash or trukk type list, but even there I'll probably take shootaz instead.

Also, buy a box of the plastic nobz. It has so many bits its insane. It has enough shoulder "pads" to outfit an entire 20 boy mob AND the 5 nobs that came in the box. Plus it's got 3 power klaws, tons of heads, extra bitz, etc etc etc. I'd almost say get two boxes of boyz and the nob box. Just works so well for beefing up an army, even if it ain't exactly the cheapest option...

The AOBR orks are the best starting point, hands down.

Try find someone to share the box with, or get the ork half off ebay. There is no way to get more orks for less money.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Or sell the SM half on ebay. Or use them as war trophies for da boyz trukks.

Also, with the AOBR you get some deffcoptas. Plastic ones. I think you get three? I love them. I put a kan buzzsaw arm on one, You have super fast CC unit with a power klaw. Plus it means you get to scratch build two more!

I would avoid the characters for a while. They really help drive your army in a specific direction, so make sure it's the direction you want to go first.
