The battleforce prices / separate component prices:
SM: £80 / £93

Battleforces are still giving you a better buck for buying the components separately, but that's only because said components are obscenely overpriced to begin with. Really, no Battleforce should surpass the $90 mark and actually be viable starter sets (i.e. an HQ) if they want to draw in more players.
Ebay is where you find real deals for these kinds of purchases though. I got 20 Guardians, 10 Dire Avengers, 4 Jetbikes, Vyper, Wraithlord, and a Falcon for $160 on Ebay.

They are, but their choice of pricing is perplexing.
Most expensive components: BA
Second cheapest box: BA

Long time player, but only just noticed the difference between these three boxes. I don't play either of the armies.

I make the BA as £91.50. Making it back into second place, which fits it's discount band, sort of.

Is that with or without two boxes of death company? There's ten in the box set, but only five per separate component.

That doesn't appear to be the case. Which box set do you mean?

I don't know which one you're talking about, but the cheapest battleforce I've seen is the eldar one, which is still $105
The blood angels and space wolf ones are $110
