Howdy,

I'm trying to find the origin of an often used line by desperate power houses.

It goes something along the lines of "I can give you anything! Money! Power! Women! ...Men?"

If anyone knows where that's originally from, I'd love to know.

PS: Tried google, doesn't work that well.

Best I can do is the New Testament, Satan tries to tempt Christ by taking him to the top of a mountain and offering the whole world if he'll join.

Can anyone top 2000 years?

Give me five bucks cause I'm about to be your hero.

KK is correct in that the premise of the line comes from the temptation of Jesus Christ in the New Testament (namely the Gospels).

However that specific line was first uttered by:

Spoiler:

Stewie Griffen! He said the line in a Season 1 episode of Family Guy where he attempted to get Nicaragua to hire mercenaries to deal with the 'Man in White.' The episode is Chitty Chitty Death Bang.

It's a pretty common mythological trope; the Judgement of Paris, as written down c850 BC in the Illiad (though its full details, regrettably were part of the now-lost Kypria), would be another prominent example.

To my knowledge yes. "... Men?" Was added by Stewie.
