Didn't see that anyone had posted this already but a company called Monster Factory has produced some really nice creatures that can be used for squigs and mangler squigs.

http://z3.invisionfree.com/Orc__Goblin_Warpath/index.php?showtopic=31649

They haven't mentioned an actual website yet, which is a pity and the models possibly come prepainted (http://z3.invisionfree.com/Orc__Goblin_Warpath/index.php?showtopic=31295&st=0 size comparison etc in this thread).

Here is to hoping more fantasy stuff comes from them as they look talented sculptors.

Oh sure they are ugly but they are squigs! If anything they would be good to add a little variety to a whole herd of the things.

Oh man, those are sexy and cheap. Better than regular manglers and half the cost? Sold!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Not bad, but why do the two on the right look like they are falling down or twisted their ankles?

Judging from the language on the pics I think they're Spanish or something

The ebay auction in the link is ebay Italia, so these guys are at least ebaying out of Italy. The language looks Italian as well.

I think they are great for the price, and the "not mangler" is by far and away better than the GW version because, well, I won't buy finecast so the GW version may as well not exist. I agree that no matter what, they are a nice change of style that could really help add variety to a massive herd.

And, they are squigs. I don't look for high levels of refinement in my mobile biting fungus. These are a little rough, but it works.

Nice find!

Edit - forgot to finish a thought

I always wondered why more people weren't making and selling squigs. I can't imagine from a a modelling perspective they are super difficult, just sculpt a sperm, then give it teeth and legs.

Agreed.

I have personally asked every indie company (zinge, ramshackle, etc.) to do them in their threads, etc. and they have never even responded. I'm glad someone is taking up the cause, I think these will do well with ork players (both fantasy and 40K).

That is until GW shuts them down (I already bid on some so hopefully ill add some to my collection before they dissapear).

That last photo is from another sculptor who is making and seeling some manglers with several different body/leg etc options.

Also kind of nice was pondering the armoured one from him if he is still doing them, anyone interested in prodding him about them he is on Da Warpath forums as Juanape.
