As most of you are aware I am currently working on the new edition of Gear Krieg.

Victory Decision: Gear Krieg will be a full rulebook with all the fluff (and some more) of the original 2000 GK Tactical Rulebook by DP9. It will include army lists for German, British, US and Soviet forces (real life and superscience).
Since the original DP9 book covers the Early and Mid War period I was suddenly writing real life army lists for the above! (Gear Krieg is not just all fantasy, it is strongly rooted in real life history and military units)
After finishing the above I realized that I had just written the basic list for Early and Mid War! So why not publish them at the same time as GK for all the historical gamers? Or maybe even write lists for French and Polish…

And here we are:

This looks impressive and looks like the WWII game that can finally replace FoW.

Doing a quick read through it says I can use any scale of minis.

But do you recommend an ideal scale?

Wish wargames factory would make some more 28mm WWII stuff. They're cheap and good looking. Just need better poses, look too much like Bag-o-Army men

The ideal scale is 15mm to 28mm.
The game has been written with 20mm or 28mm individual based minis in mind, but the rules for multibased infantry stands (ala FoW) work so well that I am personally favouring 15mm at the moment.
