Not sure if this has been discussed already but I've been hearing a friend's plan to use one Skyshield to pretty much become immune to any assaults... claiming that once the models are up if it was the walls up models on the ground can't draw LOS in order to be able to charge at them, making it impossible to charge still they could shoot out from the windows on the walls... this hasn't happened yet at a game but I can foresee it becoming a discussion topic in the near future.

It may be the case that if your unit is too close the skyshield that you may not have LOS, but as long as one model has LOS to charge then the whole unit does, you can always just hang one model back to ensure you can see them.

The rules for declaring charges does say you may not declare a charge against a unit you cannot reach (over 12") or cannot see.

Well you could still move up onto the landing pad and then assault.

Yah, i thought of that however his plan is to just surround the perimeter to avoid getting in, the leaving a guy behind idea sounds right un order to leave the assault option open.
