Tossing out this idea, using the P.Psyker + 4 GL PCS + ML Chimera to hit the target with 9-19 S6 shots which will ruin your day.

Not game breaking, but a decent fun build I think.

I don't know how well this compares to a lascannon exterminator with sponson heavy bolters for the same number of points.

One extra heavy bolter, and AV14. And you don't need to pass a psychic test. And the tank can be deny-the-witched.

4.5-9.5 S6 hits vs. 3 S5, 3 S7 and .5 S9 (with Ap2 vs. vehicles). 6.5 vs 4.5 to 9.5. Seems roughly the same, and you don't need an infantry platoon and a primaris psyker, and is more durable.

I mean, it's certainly more useful now that you can glance vehicles to death than it was before, but, as you note, it's nothing particularly special.

Plus, I think a primaris psyker would be better in other roles, given that they can now roll for properly decent abilities now.

Hmm good point, I hadn't considered the exterminator for comparison, instead I was looking at a more mobile equivalent to autocannon spamming in PIS or HWS.

Primaris is better served with telepathy and a PBS now, IMO.
